The MT9P001, a 1/2.5-inch optical format CMOS sensor, which can be used for DSCs, camera phones and PDAs, shoots 12 frames per second (fps) at full resolution (2,592 H x 1,944 V), enabling high-speed performance, and up to 30 fps in preview mode. Other MT9P001 features include global reset release (reduces distortion when used with a mechanical shutter), electronic rolling shutter, flash support, 60 dB dynamic range and fail safe I/O (reduces standby power). Programmable controls are available for gain, frame rate, exposure time, horizontal/vertical blanking, and left-right/top-bottom image reversal. These devices are available in die form or in a 48-pin imaging LCC (iLCC) package.
